Matt Summers

Matt Summers brings a wealth of experience to his role as CTO at Curotec. His professional journey includes pivotal roles such as CTO at MindPrint Learning and Kango Classifieds. He has also held significant positions as VP of User Experience & Innovation and VP of Software Engineering at Kaplan, Inc. His tenure as a Staff Software Engineer saw him contributing to renowned companies like MySQL, CNET/CBS Interactive, WordOfNet, LifeFiles, and IBM.

Matt’s accomplishments are a testament to his dedication and expertise. He is a proud recipient of the SIAA CODiE Award for Best Learning Platform and the Reimagine Education Award. Additionally, he was a finalist at the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition.

Some of his notable projects include the development of parts of PHP4 Enterprise Edition for Maguma AB and the design and rollout of the SMPP API, which is now utilized by major telecom giants like Verizon. Matt also played a pivotal role as the chief architect for Kaplan Professional’s transformative multi-year corporate training platform.

Matt is a Certified Scrum Master and has certifications in Lean and Six Sigma. He also boasts a Level 2B certification in the Italian language from the Alpha Beta Institute.

Outside of his professional realm, Matt enjoys traveling and exploring museums, aquariums, and nature with his family. He also has a keen interest in forensic science and cold case investigations.
